Notes on Information

The list of cities can be navigated through multiple pages using the horizontal scrollbar-style links. Use the column header buttons to sort the list by different columns. City and country names within the list link to sections with further information on them.

The building counts shown in the list don't necessarily represent a fully comprehensive total for each city or country. They represent the number tracked by our editors so far, which may not be compete for each city.

The buildings column is a count of the number of completed buildings in the SkyscraperPage database for a particular city or country. This includes structures such as highrises, towers and lowrises, but excludes other miscellaneous structures, and buildings of different statuses (construction, proposed, etc).

The highrises column is a count of the number of completed highrises. This excludes other types of buildings such as towers and lowrises, and highrises of different statuses (construction, proposed, etc). A highrise is a multi-floored building of at least 12 stories or 35 meters in height (115 feet).

The cities listed here do not all follow the same rules for boundary limitations. Some of the cities are metropolitan regions comprised of two or more municipalities, while others are single municipalities. A more consistent list of cities will be developed in time.
