We had three elevators in our 41-storey building in Metrotown. That was perfectly sufficient 90% of the time, except the other 10% of the time one elevator was broken, a second elevator was reserved for moving, and the third was congested with people returning from work and people picking up food deliveries concurrently.
Our building did not have useable stairs. We were on the 19th floor and I would regularly take the stairs to leave, but even with a key fob I couldn't use the stairs to enter the building. I don't know what dummy made that decision...
