The Cartier angle for Montreal is really the finest. It has baby New York qualities.

London looks like a Ukrainian city that I'd google after seeing a CNN article and find out it has a million people.

It's interesting to see how long it'll last, considering that the Champlain bridge, built 30 years later had to be torn down due to poor construction.

Meanwhile the Victoria bridge built in the 1850's and finished in 1860 is still alive and kicking, 160+ years later.

I presume the J-C bridge will be with us for a long time, as it seems like it was solidly built.

I agree 100%. The Pont J-C is the most bad-assed bridge in the country, followed by that fantastic cantilevered bridge in QC.

The Jacques-Cartier Bridge road deck was completely replaced circa 2001 to extend its life expectacy to 2080, or to about 150 years of age.

I feel like London gets alot of hate for things other cities suffer from. Waterloo for example is even stumpier, uglier and more spread out. You’re right it doesnt really have an epicentre, but look at Victoria. Half these skylines I see of smaller cities posted are made up of a couple buildings over 10 floors. It just seems like nobody ever talks as much smack about even less impressive skylines. But maybe I’m just butthurt.

Windsor's skyline has a clear view from Detroit but the problem it's not very dense in most places. Just a straight line down the Riverside and then another down Ouellette. Even if they put another building in the space between the two casino buildings it'd look better.

Agreed the Beltline angle is one of the best for urban density and variety of styles. The north angle is more iconic but has less layers and 'grit'.

The reason there are few Calgary shots recently is because almost all of the Calgary forumers have left. I'm one of a handful remaining.

Im not denying that. I personally feel that London’s skyline is really not that bad all things considered. I know the buildings are quite spread out, and I know they aren’t particularly tall. I still feel like it does has a lot working against it, let alone having practically zero vantage points and let alone ones at good angles. Theres angles it looks great from, but really would need a drone just to take a picture. Very flat and alot of tree cover, you can barley see the skyline at all until you get close. The couple spots that you can see it clearly are at unfortunate angles, making it look very spread out, or having most of the buildings blocked out. Looking at the last one of the photos I posted, most clear view in the city, 3 of the new buildings going up, one of which will be the tallest, at that angle they'll be hardly visible because of being blocked out by the one in front. Highbury bridge at Trafalgar has a beautiful angle, but again most new buildings wont even be visible. The skyline is sort of became an “L” shape, along Dundas, King, and starting to go up Richmond, Talbot. Theres really no vantage points looking to the northeast or looking to the southwest. You always only have a straight on view of one of the sides of said “L” shape. Some apartment buildings yea but i cant find any pics of the view from them. Ya get what I’m sayin

It's amazing that Skytree is completely blocked by The Bow from this angle

Beautiful images, Calgary looks incredible.

That image on the prior page of Montreal with the JC bridge is really something else. There's so much depth and grit in that one image.

I took these up on the hill at the Evergreen brickworks, I'm glad I found a good spot that allows you to get the CN tower in the view. (most of these images arent fully in focus, apologies)

^ The black one on the right looks really good. I guess I must not be paying close enough attention because I didn't even know such a building was u/c.
