That mural (the world's tallest apparently?) turned out great. Very prominent from the Calgary Tower (which I suppose helps explain why they did it [and retained such a high profile artist to do it]).

The Toronto Port Authority is expecting 40 cruise ships in 2022. So a little under 1 per week, and the passenger capacity is about 450 heads per ship (18000 passengers total for the year).

While tiny compared to ocean cruise ships, but at nearly 700 feet long, Great Lakes cruise ships are something to behold... on a lake (snug fit for the locks I'll bet).

The one I saw recently (up close and personal) was the brand new Viking Octanis which looks huge in person (saw it while walking the dog at Cherry Beach).

That actually is an ocean cruise ship visiting the Great Lakes during the Antarctic winter months. It was built to look at penguins and not grab a 65K beer on the Milwaukee riverfront. (and it's a great riverfront) It also looks much bigger than the Great Lakes cruise ship fleet I've seen in Toronto over the years. Can't imagine how it would look next to Carnival's or Royal Carribbean's flagships.

Looking at Vancouver cruise ship stats it says that it will see 310 ships and over 1 million passengers in 2022.
Victoria will see 350 ships and 760000 passengers.

What a shambolic, haphazard, sprawling mess. Imagine how magnificent Toronto would be with a massive park having straight or geometrical lines delineating the margins of the skyline.
