That's a gorgeous shot. I'm so glad they ended up going with the "full" district; office, hotel, and residential. Are they going to have bars/restaurants in the bottom of the office buildings? I know the Riverlanding River Walk is very popular, plus the Ramai Art Gallery and Persephone Theatre right there. Perfect storm for an awesome little nexus of activity. I look forward to seeing what they do on the west side of the bridge. Hopefully all residential buildings, with riverfront retail/restaurants.

Yes there are spaces for at least a few bars/restaurants at the base of all of those buildings, with one confirmed so far and a rumoured steakhouse on the top floor of the East Tower

The plaza in the centre of the complex will look like this: https://www.nadi.design/portfolio/river-landing-plaza

Yeah I've seen the Plaza design, it's excellent. Really like a magnet from the river walk to into the plaza.

So it's the east tower with the restaurant up top, not the west (tallest) tower?

Yes, the top of the tallest tower will be employee amenity space for the anchor tenant (Nutrien).

Project update around Metrotown area in Burnaby.

First up, the Station Square cluster is transforming the entire neighborhood and has its last two tall towers going up right now.

Gold House is turning out nice and will have a huge screen. What it will play, remains to be seen.

Sun Tower is a two-tower development next door.

The entire Beresford Street stretch has seen a lot of development in last 6 years.

Also the nearby Nelson Street cluster keeps rising. Two latest towers are called Polaris and Vittorio.

Finally, Sussex is another two-tower development on a very small lot.

They've begun construction for the new redeveloped Hamilton waterfront.

The new breakwater is about a foot to foot and a half taller than the old one. Seems they're about ready to pave a few roads. It's curious they didn't bury the hydro lines, or they could be temporary lines for lights and such.

Here's what it'll look like once it's all completed. Hometown Bruce Kuwabara is the lead architect.

^Hideous. I was in Hamilton a few weeks ago and was really disappointed by new residential projects, this one included. Looks like something they put up in NYCC or MCC c.2004.

Unfortunately thats the same story for pretty much every project in the city. The developers and designers are stuck in a mindset from two decades ago.

I don't see how it's hideous. 365 Church Street is hideous.
