I've never seen an old photo of this building. The apertures facing King are massive. I'm guessing the upper floors were either storage for the original business or perhaps offices...

The covered portions on King were bay windows for upper floor apartments.

That's pretty typical, especially considering this building is significantly built by pre-fab.
