I just had another thought, if the Trillium line is extended to barrhaven or even Manotik after the extension to Gatineau is done then a transfer is eliminated. Residents could take a short bus ride to a Trillium line station and get off at Terraces du chaudieres or place du portage whatever the terminus will be which will be walking distance to work or even right at their workplace.

I find this will make people use transit more.
