Look up similar distances on GO in the GTA. Unless, we have some unusual services in Ottawa, can't expect suburban or commuter rail to be faster here. 15 mins would make it one of fastest commuter services anywhere. Heck, VIA takes that long from Fallowfield to Tremblay. And it's not stopping anywhere in the middle.

I don't think 3-5 km spacing is common for most commuter rail systems (s-bahn type hybrid systems have more frequent spacing). Although I could understand where you're coming from because GO has added lots of infill stations in recent years - sadly more for political reasons rather than transportation reasons. I would suggest there wouldn't be a need to have more than one stop inside the greenbelt (probably somewhere near baseline to allow transfers onto the Baseline BRT).
