As a short term resident of Calgary, my favourite towers are 8th Ave Place I and II. I think their crowns, which echo the "castellated" peaks of the Canadian Rockies, are particularly striking. They are what Toronto's EY Tower could have been IMO.
8th Avenue place are actually my least favorite new buildings in Calgary. I'm glad EY is nothing like them. It's much more like the Echange Tower in Vancouver, a much better comparison then those twins.
