I think that the near-consensus (on this forum anyway) is that all three skylines are very close and could reasonably be ranked in any order.

I like MTL skyline a lot, especially the aerial shots that show the layered density. Its got that Philly vibe.

Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal have VERY different skylines that are not easily comparable, but each one has its own merits. Vancouver has the density and all-glass towers with breathtaking natural background, Calgary have massive and very modern office towers closely tucked together, Montreal has more variety in terms of history and has superior backbones (inner skyline, like Rousseau said once, or layered density like Brizzy82 just wrote) in addition of having Mount Royal as a nice backdrop. Anything else is a matter a personal opinion, not science. All three are pretty good with space for improvement.

707 Fifth looks awesome, too bad it's so short. It doesn't look like a building you'd typically see in Canada, looks more like a Vegas hotel

The Cepsum (Université de Montréal) is not on this pic (the picture cut right on it to the right).

I still hold Montreal as #1. It's not the biggest, but Toronto's has too steep of drop offs. Toronto is getting better, but for me overall form is very important. I think Calgary is #2, with Toronto and Vancouver vying for #3.

Well, 2 office towers starting this month one at 240 meters should help balance out the skyline. And hopefully all goes well the supertall proposal for end of summer. I think we may get word before that time on a construction start, however, I'm not holding my breath. But three solid peaks, each peak now vying taller than the previous peak should in theory balance things out between, the Financial Core/Southcore tallest proposed at 307 meters, Yonge and Gerrard, potentially the tallest at 344 meters, and scaling the drop back down to Yorkville at 306 meters.
