^ Tons of people in the comments are accusing Col. Chris Hadfield of posting a photoshopped pic of the Toronto skyline, calling it a fraud and impossible and blah blah blah, because they think it was taken from the Toronto Islands and is facing North, but it was actually taken from Humber Bay and is facing East. What a bunch of geographically and skyline challenged halfwits.

Looks like a major city in it's own right.

You never see that angle of Vancouver/Metrotown. I probably wouldn't even be able to name the city looking at that photo without some kind of caption.

The DTES is a sleeping giant for this city.

Um yeah you do, walk the stanley park seawall on a clear day. I see this view all the time.

You can also get similar views from mount pleasant just without the industrial and impoverished DTES in front of it.

Edit: you can also get similar views from the top of Canada place which I believe is where this picture was actually taken.

Reminds me very much of the view of Mississauga from the West side of Toronto.

A nice set of winter pics of Edmonton and Vancouver there!

The nice thing about Van is winter does not need to be in the city itself to take a winter pic

Friend is just now posting videos from a trip out to B.C.

Took a screenshot on one nice scene while he's flying:
