I love the look of Commonwealth overall... but it's not a great football stadium. The (former) track puts the fan too far away compared to other stadiums. It's even worse for soccer.
It's beautiful and I love the recent renovations but I hope I see the Esks in a better football stadium at some point.
Very good news especially if this ends up in Edmonton's hands after annexation review.
These lands are already within the City of Edmonton. They are just east of the new CP intermodal yard on 91 Street (Ewing Trail SW) and north of 41 Avenue SW. I did the planning work on this back in 2008-2010.
Commonwealth is very Iconic; yah our weather 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 sometimes but changing the stadium won't fill up the stands. It's a very beautiful stadium IMO and somthing to be proud of. I hope it never gets replaced or updated to look completely different.
There are now Avison Young "Leased" signs up on the Williams Engineering building (100 St & MacDonald Drive). Can anyone confirm who's moving in? I've heard Manpower, Original Joe's, Academy of Learning.

This stadium is excellent for football. Since I was an Usher at 14 at Esks games till now as a spectator I have never heard 1 person say....ya know...that track ruins my football experience. But I can understand not liking soccer at Commonwealth or any stadium
Also, saw a bunch of these in Tdot, Steam Whistle please put a couple Downtown.

'As the second quarter closed out, the Edmonton office market recorded 171,588 square feet (sf) of positive absorption. This was driven by class A buildings in the Downtown Financial Core and Government markets, with a combined absorbed space of 196,980 sf. Additionally, 58,158 sf of space was absorbed in the Southside class A market.'

Don't believe the hype, as flava flav would say. Those numbers differ quite a bit from the other brokerage houses.
