Even with their willingness to go to the public for ideas, I doubt anything substantially different or exciting will wind up on the final plan. I have no proof, but I feel like what is out there now is ultimately Eddie Robar's plan, and not necessarily anything that the front line planning staff endorses.

That would be reasonably simple. Scotia Square is already a main terminal. The ferry already goes to the water just east of that at the water.
If they ever want to use the rail corridor, all they would need to do is tunnel 1.4km to Scotia Square from the Via rail station.
