I think the NWC has the rights to like 600 stores with GT in Western Canada. In Ontario and Quebec its individual people who own them. The first Giant Tiger that Northwest opened was in Thompson.

Also to note.. Giant Tiger stores are usually renovated from other former stores. Rarely they build from nothing like a brand new building as it would cost more to build new then reno.
