So this is my first photo thread ever, and im definatly not a photographer, but my class got out at around 3 today and i had my camera with me so i walked around for a few hours and snapped some pics. Hope you enjoy!!

i started out where i was parked, on top of the Chase tower parking garage.

44 Monroe

and the "crown"

central and monroe

Chase

OCPE. floor numero uno!!!!

Cronkite

YMCA

St. Mary's Basilica with the tempe skyline rising in the distance

24th and Camelback Biltmore area

downtown

and here is a few cell phone shots out of the 18th floor of the chase tower. the yellow is some kind of tarp with rebar on the top. im assuming they are about to pour some cement in there.

you can see the next floor being built

and a shot of the crane, being that it was right outside my window

Very nice pics. A downtown update was sorely needed.

The "track without the football field" is indeed the jogging track for the YMCA.

When I was at the VNSA Book Sale a couple weeks ago, I noticed scaffolding on the north side of the Coliseum. It can be seen in the shot of the Coliseum in this thread. Anyone know if that's just repair work?

NorthScottsdale....awesome photos of Downtown. The track on the 2nd floor of the YMCA is indeed the track (I workout there).

And it seems to me that the 44 Monroe crown will be complemented by a continued architectural element that will extend it a few floors down from the top, making it look like a bigger crown.
