Total non-UK born population in home counties: 1,232,934
This includes the following unitary authorities: Bracknell Forest, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Medway, Milton Keynes, Reading, Slough, Southend-on-Sea, Surrey, Thurrock, West Berkshire, Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham.
So around 4.8 million foreign-born in London and the home counties.
This will probably open the floodgates to "add Hamilton to Toronto!", "add Providence to Boston!", "put DC and Baltimore together!", "my metro is being shortchanged based on a technicality!"
