The tower still looks beautiful - any downgrades that I can see are minor. It is certainly not a downgrade compared to 3 World Trade Center, which had its fins removed and bracing curtailed considerably. I also recall that even the New York by Gehry at Eight Spruce Street original plans were to have wavy curves on ALL sides and they ended up just putting the waviness on one side.

I just hope they don't make any substantial downgrades, like making the top straight rather than curved or worse yet, removing the vertical bracing entirely or on one or two of the sides.

But the longer we have to wait, the more risk of changes to save escalating costs...
