These two things don’t seem contradictory or exclusive of each other. The parties are basically engaging in a competition of who can wave the flag the hardest right now or be seen as the toughest on Trump, and Liberals are hoping their track record over the last ten years gets forgotten in the midst of the threats. But many things are “broken” in this country at the moment and wanting to fix them doesn’t mean you’ll roll over to the United States. If promising a return to the way things were and were trending in earlyNovember 2024 is the best that can be offered, then the future of this country is looking pretty grim.
