Simple and powerful. It was designed to display PP as a leader who would not stand up for Canada.
I just watched a Joe Clark interview, where he said in response "Canada is not broken". The time for negativity isn't now, but perhaps Poilievre can be a Trump whisperer, who knows? (Trump said he doesn't care what Poilievre says.)
