Looks like YVR fell today, so officially Dec 1st, -0.4. Though, once again the weather stations in the city proposer haven’t frozen yet.
The way that I always unofficially recognized the first true freeze city wide in Metro-Vancouver was when all the leaves on the banana trees at English Bay fully die back.

Okay, time for a banana tree report from Vancouver.
They're a bit dog-eared (maybe from the wind storms) but hanging in there.
There may be some in more sheltered locations that are looking better.
