Their "costing" looks like something a kid in Grade 10 would be asked to provide for their career education class, and I'm not sure it would get a very good grade.

And what, exactly, is it you disagree with?

I saw Shannon Mews rental building had a big anti-Eby sign out front. SSPers cheering on Eby and Kahlon’s “ action” on housing might ask why those responsible for building housing, like Anthem and Wall, are so strongly against them.

Because they hope the Conservatives will follow through on their platform to "clear permit backlogs by overruling municipalities and granting the permits directly if cities don’t meet new approval timelines." And getting rid of energy performance requirements. And getting rid of limits on Airbnb, which makes selling homes to investors to use as alternate hotel units easier, if there are no municipal rules in place.

Oh, and he seems to think Rustad will allow the use of rat poison, which I'm sure is the main issue on voter's minds.

One would think those cheering on Kahlon’s overriding of municipality”s zoning rules wouldn’t really care about overriding them on permits.

And he’s not wrong about the rats.

Both permits and zoning need to go, but only one party is being honest about ditching them.

We've had rat poison at our place for years. All it's done is make the survivors more toxin-resistant... and probably killed a bunch of other wildlife too. Block off open holes and gaps (they can fit through anything larger than a dime) and secure your food and garbage, and poison becomes a redundancy.

Unless Mainstreet is a genius and sees something no one else sees. NDP should win on Saturday pretty comfortably.

My panicking is going away and I am relieved that BC isnt stupid enough to elect a bunch of far right conspiracy theorist nutjobs.

We're not Alberta, we don't have any patience for this bs

I agree about the mice and rodent poison being a bad idea - aside from poisoning domestic pets and rodent predators like falcons, rodents will often feel unwell for a few days prior to dying and will hide and likely die within the walls of your house

Well, lets look at his Bio. (from the BC Cancer Agency, where he is likely on a board of some sort).:

Quote:
Mr. Carlson is the founder and CEO of Anthem Properties Group, a North Vancouver-based real estate investment, development and management company. Founded in 1991, Anthem now has a team of over 450 employees and a portfolio of 17,500 homes comprising 8.5 million sf of commercial property and over 7,400 acres of land.

In addition to real estate, Mr. Carlson is an investor, founder and/or director in various mining, exploration and development, technology and manufacturing businesses. .....
https://bccancerfoundation.com/about-us/board-leadership-and-councils/eric-carlson/

So the guy that owns 17,500 homes, 7,400 acres of land, and is involved in mining, exploration and development does not like the NDP.

Who would have guessed?

Trudeau losing federally at least makes sense. But BC has a pretty popular and well liked incumbent who has approval numbers any premier in this country would kill for. But BCers are gonna throw him out anyway?

None of this makes any 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 sense whatsoever. BC, WTF are we doing here?

Like I said, the race is over, Eby is toast. The NDP have never been able to beat a united right other than 2020 which was an odd election. This was over the day United suspended it's campaign

NDP needs to panic NOW
Remember three things:
  1. Polls are going to swing back and forth before the final week.
  2. Mainstreet has been off the mark several times before (especially now when most of their polls have been bought by the Cons).
  3. Always take your meds BEFORE posting.

Look, this election is a roller coaster ride and I've been panicking the whole way through it, give me a break

That's every campaign ever - if early polls decided the election, Mulcair would be our PM. Flatten the curve.

Panicking? It's a provincial election where the winner for 4 years is either going to be a center-left or a marginally center-right party.

No need to panic.

Maybe you can get the Peace Corps to build housing for Canadians.

Not sure why you'd describe the NDP as "centre-left" and then qualify the BC Conservatives as "marginally centre-right".

I assume the 'marginally' applies to the 'centre' part of the description?
