What alternatives does Burnaby have? I'm seriously asking.
The downtown "malls" of the east seemed to have been a last-gasp effort at offering something that people could already find more easily in the suburbs. And as they've died, the unique/quirky street retail has begun to replace what's lost, but the days of having a big anchor store downtown are long gone.
