The plans for updating the Main Street/Deep Cove interchange were revised back in 2017 when a decision was made to prioritize changes to the stretch between Mountain Highway and Lillooet. Two new bridges were added, one on each side of the highway, for the Mountain Highway eastbound on-ramp and for westbound local traffic between Lillooet and Mountain Highway. The dangerous westbound merge point where the Seymour on-ramp and Mountain Highway off-ramp overlapped was eliminated.
