From what I can see of Lougheed, the grocery store looks like it will be mostly underground with a street-level entrance on the west side.
The Safeway on Austin in Coquitlam is above street level, you can enter it from the street but you have to go up a level, just like the one in Burquitlam. The Burquitlam store is always busy, the Austin one is quite dead, probably cause it's in a poorer area and is very high priced, Superstore is doable for most residents in that area. It's handy and a really nice store.
In Sydney Australia, I went to three grocery stores that were attached to stations or very close to them and they were all in the basement level and they had two levels, basement, and subbasement.
Also went to grocery stores in the downtowns of Perth and Melbourne and they were also in the basement levels of street retail. The subbasement of the Bay could be home to such a grocery store.
They weren't as spacious as a more suburban store but they weren't lacking anything.
