On a side note, the Saputo/Dairyland plant beside Sperling Station is closed now (I haven't seen any vehicles, trucks, trailers, or people there for the past month). I wonder what the land owner (Peterson Group? https://petersonbc.com/properties/saputo/) has planned for the area? Either lease out the old plant to another company or demolition for new development. I'm hoping for the latter.
It would be nice to build the new city hall somewhere close where people and things are and not again in the middle of nowhere. How about leasing those two "Gold" Glass Office Buildings on Kingsway in Metrotown and turning them into a City Hall (ex offices of Metro Van). I think they are being renovated or planned to be renovated soon.
