MONTREAL : Leather in the Summer, Silk in the Winter. Dec '08.

No intro, I've been like 5 times already. Enjoy!

On a cold Sunday morning.

Brutalist flat, or LEPLEC or whatever the hell they're called.

Oh so European.

What troll lives here?

I stayed with Kool Maudit and the Wifey, but they wouldn't allow me to get any pics, just the outside and one pic inside. Here they are consecutively.

Its kind of Boston-like with the dense housing with single fam homes in the distance.

New Orleans?

Where the homes?

Seriously, if you pay 1 dollar for two slices of pizza, you should know the quality you're going to get.

Why I gotta be going to the same streets for?

Here comes the snow.

Look at scenic Mt.Royal, look how scenic that shit is son!

Zoom in son.

On St. Denis

So it stops snowing, gets clear and the blast of artic hell begins. It was like -10 farenheit that night. I braved it and walked anyway. So if some pics didn't come out, tough. I wasn't putting my fingers through anymore unnecessary torture.

St. Catherine is generally teeming with people, but not when you can't feel your toes and you're setting up a tripod to get a shot with wind blowing in your face, producing tears that instantly freeze.

So cold my camera fogged up inside.

Next morning was crisp, and still cold as fuck!!

Took some pics on my way out.

Almost El-Like

what you want a dramatic end?

Excellent, excellent city. I think Canada leads the league in unappetizing-looking pizza chains.

Awesome--a great amount of nice shots. Thanks for braving the cold to catch this beauty. Montreal looks pretty kick-ass; kind of like a Chi/Philly hybrid with a French twist.

I used to live up the street from that pizza place. Despite its sketchy exterior, the interior is quite clean and I have to admit that when I finally gave it a try, it wasn't bad (for $0.99 pizza).

You make me miss the plateau...and for whatever reason I feel I should turn my heat up a little bit!

Tons of character, but I'm so tired of winter at this point. Montreal needs another 2-3 months.

That docain picture is from one of the chans. Gross!
