I walked by the site today and can confirm the small 1 storey building has been completely demolished

So I was wrong again, but this location will either potentially be what was original rumoured for the former Four Seasons (the 'hipper' option) or the brand that's in the tallest residential tower in Toronto that was in receivership.

Four Seasons will be elsewhere at a prominent site. The developer also purchased a substantial site nearby to what was mistakenly identified above at a record breaking price

An Andaz hotel was supposed to go into The One in Toronto.

Empty units left and right of the 3 occupied ones.
"For Lease" only on the ones to the left.

I will be working one of those spaces tomorrow. I'll take some pictures.

Worked 972 today (a pizza restaurant), also working the space next door (retail unknown, did not ask) in the near future.
I like this space, narrow but it goes from front of the building right to the back of the building, good space.

Today Oct 14, 2025

The pigeons quickly made theirselve at home after the bridge inspector move to the other side

A side note for anyone interested, The Butterfly if getting more lively every week.

Thank you! jollyburger, I woke up and the inspector was working the front of that facade, by the time I got my Sony camera setup, he was moving to the back side.
Tomorrow they will be looking at the pier towers.
(Sorry pigeons, another rude awakening tomorrow morning)

So they finally got rid of the "The Centre" sign left over from the Four Brothers from Denver who tried to run it as a theatre featuring Asian productions.
I thought the name of the church was "Westside Church" (at least originally) but I guess not.

New signage:

IIRC they recently changed the name from Westside to centre to properly reflect the location.

Wish it would just go back to being a theatre or arts venue. Would help reinforce this as our cultural district.

Really sucks that the City didn't buy the theatre cheap when they had the chance…

It was built with a very limited backstage area and the Deloitte building has made expanding it impossible. So it's not so great for live theatre. Concerts maybe but I've heard people say the acoustics aren't that great.

They're not the best, but not awful… What is more ideal is its size: 1,800 is much easier for a lot of shows to fill in this town compared with 2,700 at the Orpheum or Queen E.

The lobby (at the stair landing) was also supposed to be connected to the 2nd floor Hilton lobby next door, but they didn't retrofit it.
It's still possible.

This is up now. Not great renders, but it's a cool concept. Good ground floor, and a rooftop restaurant!!

Just under the Olympic Village viewcone. Any infill down there is a good thing but as long as they don't totally butcher/value engineer the ground lobby I'll be happy lol
