It has grown on me, brings a warmth to the podium and extends inside as well.

I agree. It looks out of place with the rest of the structure.

I agree, it feels like they used the blueprints for a Shoppers Drugmart or something. Also for a tower that size the main floor should have been at least double height.

There's a tower here in the new East Village (Arris) that has a very similar cladding, and I think it's quite odd there as well. That tower is a bit of a dogs breakfast anyway. Well, the podium is, the tower is on hold.

The Arris towers aren't really a dogs breakfast, they're just really boring. The podium is definitely a jumble of nonsense (dogs breakfast) though.

Whatever works. The residences are not finished, but the exterior is all but done.

The hoist is gone. The residences must be pretty close to be being done.

I don't get the overlapping logos for Stantec and Rexall.

Just me?

From that angle it's playing a trick on your eye. The Stantec logo is up on the second floor which is quite high up. It's not as 'squished' together as that photos makes it out to be.

Ok, that makes sense. I'll have to check out more photos.

Well in fairness the rest of the country isn't stagnating this time, just not building nearly to the height that Toronto is right now.

The 90s were very different than today, as I'm sure you know.

Great CIBC photos and very cool timeline diagram - it's really rising fast now.

On the CIBC project, what are the other two cores just to the left of the U/C tower?
