No special settings, but I take them in RAW and sometimes play with the white balance after. Actually, I would have preferred less sunlight, although the late-afternoon light was really nice.

I'm sure you can find plenty of shiny, glitzy photos of LA on here and elsewhere. That's not the type of pics I usually take. I don't "leave the grit out" of my Portland photos either. I just find older places like the Fashion District or Broadway a lot more interesting than LA Live. But here's one for ya...
