That undeveloped acreage south of the Marquam must be prime for development....Does OHSU own pieces of that, also? If they do, I wonder if they will be considering selling it instead of carrying out their own expansion plans.

It seems to me that there's no way thats gonna happen, at least not any time soon. With the all the financial stuff OHSU is going through that whole area may be scratched and sold.

Loyola here in Chicago was having financial issues about 6 years ago and they have had a massive building boom over the last few years.....so don't get your hopes down.

⇑ No, Zilfondel....I didn't forget the old thread but there appears a lot is happening "recently" with OHSU financially. I was raising the possibility that if OHSU was presently involved in the future development they could pull out, or sell, their options on this piece of property.... I realize my post might have been repetitive but not all people on this forum (members and lurkers) would know about the previous posts or care to research to find them. (I think it is time for me to take a break from the forum. I know you weren't trying to be offensive and I am getting way too cranky. It's definitely time I take a break and just lurk.)

^That land was donated by the Schnitzer(?) family for the new campus, so I can't really see them selling the property off. Maybe with PSU's growth, they can develop something together.

Okay, ok! I hear ya... I just figured that its easy for us to forget about all the older threads since this new forum system makes it easy to ignore them.

Yeah, they won't sell it... although it would be worth a ton of money; they would have no way to expand in the future if they did. I would also be surprised if they didn't coordinate better with PSU in the future.

What I found interesting was that the PDF for OHSU's plan was updated very recently...

ok, who's the skyscraperpage guy with gray hair? I've seen him around about 5-6 times taking photos in the Pearl District, the PSU urban center, and other construction projects around town. Castillonis?
