Seems like the Jerico Lands planning would have to advance to some stage before they finalize plans for the extension.

March to now though camera was out-of-service for about a month. You can see the camera angle changed when it was fixed/replaced.

Bridge deck at Arbutus is finally complete, it looked like they had some issue with the final deck segment (northwestern corner) and had to construct it in place with concrete.

Why do they always have to fast forward through certain parts of the footage? So annoying and it also causes pixelation/blurriness due to the sped up motion.

As crews prepare [Oak-VGH] station for the arrival of the tunnel boring machines, we will continue working at night between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. until the end of August.
https://www.broadwaysubway.ca/construction/current-work/

If that means the first TBM should arrive at Laurel St in September we should see departure from Cambie around early July.

That's a gutsy move, but it was worth the risked for the money shot, I liked. Only 59 views and 3 likes.

Tunnel transition box progress, immediate east of the GNW station. From the April status report. https://www.broadwaysubway.ca/app/upload...BSP-Monthly-Status-Report-April-2023.pdf
They don't mention TBM departure from Cambie in the three month lookahead so I'm guessing that won't be until August at the earliest.

i dislike when people do these things. its an active construction site and they risk injuring someone or causing an issue around heavy machinery.

its the same thing when idiots use drones to film a forest fire. it just hampers the air support, possibly causing an issue, and puts the firefighters on the ground at risk as well since they loose air support.

I don't think it's the same thing at all. Based on the video no one was working in the pit when it was shot. I doubt there was anything fragile enough in that pit to be damaged by the drone, so if the pilot crashed the worst that would happen is they would be out $$$ and the construction crew would discover a decommissioned drone in the morning.

Compared to flying a drone near an airport or an forest fire, this was harmless.

*mostly* harmless

(as per the latest update of the Encylopaedia Galactica).

A quick look, Transport Canada does not prohibit flying over construction sites.

Yes, but that's flying over. I am sure flying into the pit would at least count as trespassing or something. I just don't think this instance of law breaking was very serious

If you want to argue law, state the law.
Something can be unsafe and dangerous and still be legal.

Trespassing probably, it's pretty unarguably a fenced off area that they're entering without permission.

Oh, also legally you need to be able to physically see your drone at all times when it's flying. Definitely not happening here (unless the operator is trespassing!)

That is a law, but that applies to certain licenses.
