In general, the WS Europe operation has very poor OTP - even if they leave here on time they're coming back late which is obviously not the fault of YYC crew. That said, the NRT flight is scheduled such that the perpetually late Europe frames shouldn't sink it.

Westjet has really paid the price for out sourcing, not only YYC ground crew, but agents and out stations too. Id say it's safe to assume Onex is more worried about profits over OTP.
Im assuming you mean they broke the sheer pin, while not a good thing, it's also not unheard of either, and the reason it is there. Probably the ramp guys first 87 push, wont forget it either.
