All of these places are walkable. You can't necessarily get between them on foot but there is authentic critical mass within each one of them.
Of course, Atlanta also has Marta rail which is not perfect but lightyears ahead of others in this peer group. And also a valid way to get around at least the in town neighborhoods.

^ this. No comparison. Atlanta has LOTS of walkable in town neighborhoods...I live in one of them! We walk everywhere! Charlotte is several decades behind Atlanta and Nashville is (IMHO) a hot mess, at least right now.
