YHM is up to 14x weekly (2x daily) — back to precovid frequency
YXU is up to 14x weekly (2x daily)
YKF is up to 11x weekly — exceeding pre covid.

Lots of YYC capacity to southern Ontario among flair and westjet… and I guess lynx.

YXU 17x weekly flights (14 WS, 3 F8)
YKF 18x weekly flights (11 WS, 7 F8)

So with all new the domestic, international and transborder flights plus the increase to many of the existing by Westjet. Plus the additional flights by Lynx, Flair, Porter and the other ULCC make up for the large loss of flights from AC, the loss of Air Transat? YYC was down just over 3 million Passengers from 2022 vs 2019.
How many more routes, plus increase to existing will YYC need to hit 18+ million again? Or do the existing flights just need higher load factors?

Most of the AC lost is regional, so on an ASM basis we have made up for those lost seats several times over. AT is so few seats it's not even worth mentioning, those ASM are more than covered by PD/Y9/F8 vs 2019. This will be the first year entirely without restrictions since 2019.

Great going to be a busy S23 at YYC

According to Airlines.net forum, someone mentioned Flair is "resuming" Calgary YYC - Las Vegas LAS with 1x daily & also to Phoenix PHX 4x weekly .

They previously flew YYC to Las Vegas & Pheonix during the Winter few years ago.

I'm pretty sure that info was originally coming from this forums. Funny how info travels around and back to wherever it came from

If Flair couldn't make LAS work like twice weekly, should be interesting to see how daily service against triple daily WS, daily AC and Lynx gonna play out.

Both LAS / PHX have 4 carriers scheduled next winter with over 30x weekly departures each.

Both times flew out of LAS in the last 18 months there was the Flair check-in desk with a full plane load of people waiting for documents to be manually checked.

If they've fixed their check-in process I'd consider them. They're not nearly as delay ridden these days are they?

Hey guys, with the summer 23 schedule firming up I put YYC's transborder flights into the chart I've used in the past, figured you guys might like to take a look.

I think it's all pretty accurate but feel free to let me know if anything needs a correction.

My one big takeaway: United did not get the memo about the Star Alliance drawdown at YYC!

I think the only mistake is a minor one (AA is all mainline 737 this summer). Very well done table overall

I am still shocked WestJet doesn't offer a YYC-ANC seasonal flight for the summer cruise traffic.

AA is the biggest thing, they're all 738. For AC, both LAX and EWR are showing 7M8. UA IAH will be a mix of NG and A320, with 7M8 sprinkled in.

Wow, I had not realized how significantly AC had pulled out of YYC. They are now just a bit player on transborder and International routes. The American majors could all end up a bigger presence here.

Saw that earlier. Certainly doesn’t bode well having planes repo’d.

BNA has to be going year round eventually.

I think CDG might be updated and extended into January and February (since it’s still pretty early) because it seems weird to just not run the route for 2.5 months (at the very least not extend it into early January for the holidays?)
