It would be just far enough north that the trains have room to go to a single track under Carling. That station should keep access (stairs & elevators) from Carling down to each side platform. And there should be a suitable bridge, north of the station, with access (elevators & stairs) to each platform from that end.

Are hospitals low transit generators? Sure doctors probably won't represent a high proportion of transit riders, but nurses (at least day and evening shifts), radiologists, physiotherapists. Civic will also be a teaching hospital, so probably hundreds of students per year. Research towers will be built. Out-patients going in for tests.
In Ottawa, hospitals don't generate much transit ridership because transit to our hospitals suck. This could change though with the new Civic.
That said, I'm fine with a double tracked station at its current location. No need to move the station; a second entrance on the north side via a bridge or underpass walkway would be fine.
That said, double tracking under Carling and the parking garage might be needed if we one day want to increase frequencies along the entire line.
