The banana harvest might not recover from this

After a brief taste of summer, it's going back to seasonal & rainy for here.

Our banana crop should be fine though.

Beaut morning out there, currently cloudy with sunny breaks, and 17 at just before 930am. Sun should break through at some point, a high of 20 expected but I'm guessing it'll be a little warmer than that this afternoon.

Both systems are imperfect, but the American heat index measures it way too conservatively, while the Canadian humidex is a bit too high. The Canadian system is closer to reality though.

So Signalhill, Does this thing record keep stats of all your weather observations in your yard? I took a quick look impressive.

I assume the website will going forward, yeah. I’ve no idea what’s retained on the actual sensor console.

Agreed. Very impressive data keeping. Maybe I'll do something similar as a hobby in retirement in a couple of years.

Just got mine set up too. I'm beginning to think that it might be backwards though with the easterly wind readings. That's a problem for tomorrow.

EDIT: Nope it's set right. There just isnt enough wind in the back yard to move the sensor in the right direction lol

Now 28C in Moncton with a humid of 34. It feels very muggy out.

There is a severe line of thunderstorms crossing central NB, but they are moving northeast, so we should probably be OK in Moncton.

They now have a tornado watch in effect for Woodstock and Doaktown areas.

Still overcast here. My station topped out at 19.8C.

Things have really greened up here over the past few days. A few of the trees in the yards behind my block are green now.

Man oh man, what an insane 24 hours it has been. Was near Mont-Tremblant for the weekend and we got hit by THE MOST INSANE STORM I HAVE EVER SEEN Saturday afternoon. 10% of the trees are down in the area (including one that fell on two of my friends car. We had 5 cars in total, 2 got hit. Power was out of course and judging by the number of trees fallen on electric poles, power would be out for a while. Returned to Montreal and we had to wait 4 hours at the gas station for the generator to arrive (we were driving on empty so no choice really). Nothing in a radius of 100 km works.

Here is some pics and a short video. Keep in mind the video was shot when the storm was beginning. Things got even worst afterwards but wanted to get away from windows so stopped filming.

Sorry for the f bombs, what started out as fun storm watching turned serious as trees started falling down.
Video Link

Was 30C (humidex of 36) and sunny yesterday before the storm in Tremblant. It dropped to 17C after the storm.

Even warmer and more humid in Montreal. 31C (humidex of 38) but the storm missed the island. It's already the 4th day above 30C this year.

Today was another summer like day in Montreal. 25C with a humidex of 31.

The warmspots yesterday were L'Assomption and L'Acadie, QC at 32.7C.
Yearly high humidex reading of 41 in Sainte-Clotilde, QC as well.

Warmspot today was Greenwood, NS at 30.1C.

My weather station survived its first night haha. Went down to about 10C. Forecast to be our first official 20C day today - I don’t believe we made it yesterday. And the leaves are really beginning to pop!

And I mowed the lawn, followed by a coffee in the park haha. Get ****ed, Mount Pearl lol

Spectacular! Wunderground is one of my favorite weather sites. I have placed the link to your station among my favorite sites.
