The one thing that strikes me is that it's not an "inviting" design from a pedestrian perspective.
The first big arched canopy invited you into the mall entrance - here, there's a structure blocking the way.
This hides the entrance behind a run-of-the-mill streetfront canopy.
I'd rather see a big open plaza like at Amazing Brentwood (albeit with 2 pavilions for the Canada Line access points), than a continuous canopy.
