The City Centre Core Partnership Framework and Action Plan was presented yesterday at Exec committee. It's looking at how the City, Regina Downtown BID, RWBID, and REAL might collaborate in a way that better supports growth and change in the core.

Interestingly enough it does highlight a number of public projects in the SWOT analysis. Specifically identifying strengths as:
"Catalyst civic level investment - Sask Drive, Dewdney Ave, Aquatic Facility, Library modernization, new mid-sized arena and others should be strategically located."
The fact that the two projects that are in the planning stages (Sask Drive and Dewdney Avenue upgrades) are listed next to the others, suggests to me that these others may be on the horizon too. Based on other sections of the report, the arena may be around 7000+ seats.
