So they are definitely also renovating the inside, and if like the outside it should be quite nice. I see that Harvard has a sign up for lease so I guess Harvard owns the building not TD.

A page back you posted an aerial photo of downtown Regina with Alt Hotel indicated. I did not know that Regina got their Alt Hotel...or is that just planned (or hoped for??)

The transformation is astounding! I hardly recognize it from its old precast-and-green glass origins. I used to live in the south end and passed this building hundreds of times, and always thinking that this particular corner deserved a better looking building. Well, 30-40 years later it finally has!

Nah, just a bit of wishful thinking on his part. This is the property where Namarind Housing is/was planning to build two high-rise apartment buildings.

Unless something comes out of absolutely nowhere, then we probably shouldn’t expect anything in the next year or two. There were rumbles of a new tower on South side of Wascana (not giving specifics because I don’t wanna get in trouble). Looks like it’s been temporarily/permanently shelved with COVID though

I have absolutely no clue where the project is sitting right now, I think it would really complement the surrounding buildings. With the future floral conservatory going in at that corner, that area has a lot of potential

Definitely would be some nice views on the higher floors looking out onto the lake.
Harvard seems to be taking a wait and see approach....
They have been holding onto a significant parcel in downtown Calgary with big plans for redevelopment but similarly haven't moved forward.
I have always thought that a large traffic circle would help improve traffic flow at that awful group of intersections that include Broad St, Lakeshore Dr, Hillsdale St and Wascana Pkwy. Anybody with some computer skills and spare time want to draw that up? The city could place a large fountain or other art installation in the center of it. There is plenty of available land to make it happen.

You beat me to the punch. I was going to say the same thing about Regina drivers. Can't handle 4 way stops, blinking traffic lights, signalling, among other basic driving skills.

I agree. I was thinking about, “what does Regina have for actual tourism destinations?” Not much.
