That’s a pretty impressive collection of heavy industry! Apart from the steel mills in Hamilton, the really big industrial plants in the GTA are much more dispersed and kind of stand alone by themselves, sometimes within sight of very rich residential neighbourhoods.
There are giant industrial precincts here, but they’re mostly warehouses and light manufacturing.
Once I drove along a freeway in Houston that was lined with refineries for what seemed like 30 km.
