In my view there is a lack of character elements in the Canterbury clinic. Also it would have been nice to have underground parking with a smaller surface lot. Apparently neighbours opposed this.

There's not a lack of character there is Zero character. But that is what Regina does.

I was going to comment that while it's a boring design, at least the Canterbury Clinic is using red brick complimentary to the other buildings in the area. Then it occurred to me that the use of red brick may be an architectural requirement for new projects there. Do any of you know if that is the case?

Does anyone know when the City plans on finishing Chuka so it goes all the way to Costco/Aurora ? Thought it would have been done by now.

Chuka will only be going to Arens Road for the next many years. The new subdivision north of Arens and south of Aurora is aways away before starting up.

Chuka punching through at Buckingham Drive will likely be done next year. Chuka and Arens connecting either in 2022 or 2023. It all comes down to how quickly house sales rebound.

The entertainment complex in the old Leader Post is shaping to be something big. Go Karts, Mini Golf, and a large restaurant.

I'd heard (possibly here?) that they ran into issues with the go kart track due to ventilation issues inside the building. Can't have people dying from Carbon Monoxide and all that.

Looks like the city is adding a running/biking pathway along McDonald St. by the Douglas Park hill. This is so long overdue - go there any evening during the summer and its dangerous for everyone as there's no sidewalks at all, nor are there shoulders on the road for bikers/runners. Not sure how far they're taking it, but anything is an improvement.

One step closer to encircling the entire lake with bike paths.
