Oh I know it's slowed and I've posted as much earlier but there's still a little bit going on and I was just curious about it.

I checked the Capital Crossing website and wasn't able to find out much. They still have the new BMO listed as a restaurant property so that wasn't much help.

It's probably because Capital Crossing is struggling. The only thing I've heard mentioned outside BMO is a A&W. Not sure what's going into the strip they've put up.

Too bad but not surprising that they're struggling. It'd be nice to have a few more places in the NW instead of going east and south all the time.

The NW definitely could use some more retailers, and I think Capital Crossing will fill up, it'll just be slow I think.

So what happened to Armour Crossing on N. Pasqua? It seems dead. The hotel is there but that 's it.

At one time they proposed 130,000 sq ft of retail Now they have the unserviced land for sale.

So the construction work on the Ring Road - Wascana Creek bridges is starting today. They have messed up Ring Road traffic from Arcola to Albert st. You would think this job could have waited until 2020 when the bypass would be open and allow an alternative route across the bottom of the city. They don't plan these jobs very well do they?

The study for Arcola had it pegged at $35-$50 million for the wider bridge.

A colossal waste of money and something I hope never happens.

To be fair the McCarthy construction is/was a complete shit show. They should also wait a year for the bridge over the creek by Wascana Parkway since the bypass will be open by then. Those seem like fairly simple and valid concerns.

I drove over the bridge tonight and it was a semi parking lot as far as the eye could see on Ring Road S. Wonderful.

Not having been involved in the planning meetings, I'll give the planners the benefit of the doubt, though. For example, what if there is already a significant amount of construction planned for next year? Or what if the bridges on Wascana Creek are already deteriorated enough that it would be dangerous to try to push them one more year?
