Agreed. While all those recent 1000-1550 footers have been exciting, they have dramatically raised the standard so that if Chase really turns out to be 1403 ft, it would be a yawn. NYC needs a megatall more than ever. For many decades NYC had one to three skyscrapers that dominated the skyline (i.e. the ESB and the original WTC), but it no longer has anything like that. A megatall would "make New York great again".
