So a supply depot for the roving marauders? Good call.

And now for the high-res photos I'm pretty sure everyone expected me to post this weekend...

Logo is only on the west side facing Speer Blvd. as of 5/12/18, and I'm not sure if plans exist to put the Optiv logo on the east side facing the Mall. Of course, I'm curious as to why Gates Rubber wouldn't want the east-facing signage. It appears the logo will be illuminated in white when fully installed. Hopefully the side notch lighting will be turned on soon.

Thanks! I agree about corporate signage in Denver enhancing most of our buildings. I mean, there are some "trophy" buildings in many cities that I feel look better without any logos (i.e. Library Tower in LA, BofA in Charlotte, Empire State, Chrysler, etc.) - but in Denver, I believe any corporate signage constitutes architectural merit for our buildings that otherwise lack any visual focal points.

1144 was a gamble, since I love the building's design and was worried about corporate signage marring the tower's appearance. However, the OPTIV logo looks great - it doesn't overpower the building, and the small semi-circles above and below the "O" actually complement the sharp angles of the building's roofline. So glad it turned out looking decent; a small consolation prize for the crown not being lit.

I bet most people have no idea what Optiv does and have to Google it. I knew a girl that worked there from a fitness class otherwise I would've done the same.

It would be cool if the logo was illuminated as per the official version shown on their website - with the two half-circles being different shades of blue (with the rest of the lettering being white). It would add a tiny splash of color to the night skyline. This being Denver, I'm not holding my breath; it's still debatable if the side lighting will ever be permanently illuminated (which itself was a small capitulation from cancelling plans for full crown illumination).

Sometimes I can only sit back in amazement at what a pathetic joke Denver continues to be in our refusal to embrace modern architecture and our struggle to implement prominent exterior lighting systems that would be considered a "basic feature" in any other city. It's almost like we're intentionally trying to eschew the cosmopolitan ambiance of our counterpart cities - in order to prove some sort of point rooted in a smug sense of enlightenment in regards to urban design. But alas, that's a topic far beyond the scope of the logo on 1144 which, IMO, should feature blue lighting for the semi-circles (and be lit brighter than the Qwest sign, because... why not do something remarkable?).

Stepped outside for a minute to watch the storm and the T-I-V in Optiv is lit up right now. "White" coloring. Grabbed a crappy pic with my phone, but it doesn't really capture it at all.

I'm looking east from Auraria Campus.

Here:

Instructions:
1) Share Photo (button in bottom right of your link)
2) BBCode
3) Copy the code
4) Paste and remove everything except the "[img]" tags and everything inside them (skyscraperpage uses an ancient version vBulletin so it can't handle the rest of the code)

The resulting code will look like this, except the curly brackets will be square brackets "[]":

Great photo, by the way!

I'm excited about it. Around 500 ft is what I was expecting and it will add density. I wasn't expecting this to become a statement skyscraper like the three big ones or 1144.

The WTC continues to move forward.....

August groundbreaking. A bit delayed, but it appears things are in fact moving with this and it's not floundering.

Not sure how critical but pre-leasing had to help tons:
Quote:
The new World Trade Center Denver development is almost 50 percent leased. Early commitments include Colorado Thought Leaders Forum, Water Foundry, Denver Sister Cities, Manufacturer's Edge and Colorado's Innovation Corridor Expo Center.

A few firms whose names have not yet been made public are a national real estate firm, a concierge-driven shared meeting space concept and a regional restauranteur.
The hotel prospects also sound interesting, promising.
Quote:
There will also be a hotel with more than 260 rooms and a 40,000 square foot conference center. The hotel flag and associated brand have not yet been finalized, but PM Hotel Group has joined the project as the hotel and business conference center operator.

“Denver has been a market of focus for our group and we feel honored to enter the market with such a catalytic and dynamic project like World Trade Center Denver,” said Joseph Bojanowski, president of PM Hotel Group.
Looks like a 'Go' to me.

Long time lurker, second time poster. First off, I wanted to thank all the contributors to this thread. I'm passionate about our city and truly appreciate all the knowledge gained and breaking news uncovered over the years from you all.

I work in the real estate industry and wanted to run a question by the forum since you all likely have a better gut feeling than I do of the downtown blocks and how future development will successfully enhance the urban experience. So here it is:

In your opinions, what are the top 3-5 sites downtown for a new ground-up 30 story residential tower? Thanks in advance!
