See, the Liberals got voted out because they completely shunned the Metro Van municipalities and did their own thing; in some cases that was good (Massey Bridge, Evergreen becoming SkyTrain instead), in some cases that was bad (no more transit funding without a vote, a lot of other stupid crap instead).
The NDP has decided to take the exact opposite approach and approve everything the mayors ask for, like they're in an Alpine Credits commercial. So we're once again getting the good (Broadway extension) along with the bad (Surrey LRT).
