Just as long as the facility still did it’s purpose, was kept in good shape and continued to educate and offer an amazing facility. Ps, they need to expand. I know an addition has been in the plans forever. They would just need a corporate large donor, or a giant grant or municipal/provincial and or federal Cheque.

Lol

Or Megamunch stops working because no capital campaign was created to raise funds and the museum fell into disrepair. (Cue sparks and melt down).

Something we agree on!

But taking away part of the park is not the right reward. Offer tax breaks on the land they develop on. That would be a win-win for the city. Getting derelict or unsightly lots in the core developed. The park did not need that kind of help.

What happens when the museum needs help funding its maintenance? The same thing?
No kidding! I seem to recall one or two parking lots downtown which are begging for development.

I refuse to be dragged down.

If you aren't happy with YOUR city, then what are YOU going to do about it?

Get involved, man. There is always something every one can do to contribute to a better city. Volunteer to be on a board, a committee, run for council, take on some tactical urbanism, organize/volunteer for a festival. Reach out to councillors and have a real discussion about policy, planning, etc.

This city is important to me. I want change. And there is only one way to do that. Get involved, man.

^Lol. Agreed. But only if Bettman has to sit on the sidelines for the entire game as well.

Everyone survive the snow? Yesterday was interesting getting around. No fewer than three buses stuck on the two routes I take to get around.

I have to say the Starbucks looks great in the location by the Cornwall. A wee bit overexposed in the early morning.

Snow clearing in this city is a greek tragedy. Absolutely brutal.

In some fairness, this is after a very large snowfall, and with an additional snowfall since it was cleared the day before.

Considering the amount of snow we got in 2 or 3 days I'm willing to be a little more patient. Do you propose they call in the National Guard?

I would propose that 11th Avenue which services every bus route outside of a few specialty ones would probably be a high priority street, but it still wasn't cleared to be safely navigable by 4:30 PM on a weekday when the snow stopped more than twelve hours ago.

There was another bus stuck on the other side of 11th Avenue in front of The Bay at the same time?

Why would we get the Americans to come up here to help clean up?
