The report shows there was an increase in jobs from January 2017 to 2018 with employment growth of two percent which was ahead of the provincial average of 0.3 percent.

Saskatchewan’s first H&M store is set to open in Regina on March 29.

The international fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz Inc. announced a year ago that it would be opening a Regina location.

In the months since, the property at 2102 11th Ave. has been gutted in an extensive renovation.

The two-level, 25,550-square-foot store is scheduled to open at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 29.

The first 500 people in line will receive a gift card valued at between $10 and $300.

H&M offers clothing and accessories for women, men and children.

“We are thrilled to open our first store in Saskatchewan at Regina’s Cornwall Centre...” H&M country manager Toni Galli said in a news release.

Conexus employees have seen the design. Not sure if it’s been shared publicly elsewhere. I saw the design. It appears to use the same brick exterior, but is a much more modern look. The side facing College is more conservative/aligned with the design of the Campus buildings... but only relative to the south-facing side... the design will definitely not please the people who still believe there’s a way to prevent this development.

I fully sport new construction being contemporary architecture. I also fully support banning Conexus from building their asinine building in the park.

Agreed. Although I'd probably be more civil than stating it that way. Taking away public space for private corporations is the bastion of third-world dictators. I'm all for rewarding a corporation for philanthrophic work they do, although part of that is the pride the community can take in an organization that does that. But taking away part of the park is not the right reward. Offer tax breaks on the land they develop on. That would be a win-win for the city. Getting derelict or unsightly lots in the core developed. The park did not need that kind of help.

What happens when the museum needs help funding its maintenance? The same thing?
