Thanks for drawing the Alldritt Tower Koops65! It really shows how there isn't much difference in height between Stantec and Alldritt.

As a great comedian myself, I found it stupid but, I wasn't offended by some lighthearted oneupmanship over the overuse of a Skalgubbar. Don't use my wording as an insight into my emotional state. I did choose them very carefully.

I love the terraces. Need more of those in Toronto. Tall surrounding buildings can actually amplify the winds, so being away from them isn't worse, though the lake is. Knew that the original tilted massing was impossible.

What a travesty, a sleek tower like that belongs in Montreal, not 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 Quebec City. QC should have elegant classic architecture. This tower will look like 🞵🞵🞵🞵 in the middle of a suburban wilderness...I hope to god you can't see it from the main viewing angles of the historic part of town.

It's 9km away from the Vieux-Quebec. Elegant classic architecture doesn't belong there.

i meant in the tower for coquitlam. It looks like 3 towers are going to be built but the one on the right in the bottom pic is a different project that is still being constructed

There are discussions for integrating a major bus interchange station within the Phare complex as part of the upcoming Quebec BRT network, so it will be a very attractive area for more development.

There are also already plans by the same developer to build two 30-story towers across the street (site #2)

It's definitely good news. I was on boulevard laurier last month and I found it to be very bleak and unappealing. Basically it was Laval.

The first thing that popped into my mind was that quebec expression "broche a foin".

Thats a more scenic ride for sure, especially since they entirely renovated Champlain Blvd. for a couple of km and you go under the Bridges as a bonus !

About Laurier Blvd, I agree that it's ugly, but some parts are slowly improving, especially from the intersection of Autoroute Robert-Bourassa to the west.

What makes it particularly ugly is its unapologetically automobile-centric form. Its a complete rejection of the street, of the sidewalk. I was there on an wednesday evening and felt awkward as I was the only pedestrian in sight. Weird.

I didn't think the old city was considered the DT. I thought it was only that suburban hellscape when you drive in to Ste. Foye.
