I know that Boffo have a Modello showroom in a space adjacent to the hotel within the same block.
Not really sure if that means anything in the larger scheme.

Those are some massive roof decks (Penthouse levels).

That'll be a spectacular view (if that rendering is accurate).

I wouldn't want to be sunbathing on my patio while there are people watching above. Seems somewhat inconvenient and are the penthouses going to be thee stories? Even more inconvenient.

Since address is going to bee 6000 McKay, they should aim for 60 real floors. Although, I am sure they will number the floors to make the "60" even now.

I want to see this getting built, but I think I will enjoy our private ~1000sqft roof-top patio more than those would be like...

Odd that they're showing curbs when there are none (it's all one level) at the Central Blvd end - as they originally planned.

I love the disclaimer saying that the rendering are not necessarily accurate.

Well, those final two tower designs and heights have already been (radically) changed twice or thrice since the overall project was introduced a few years ago.

But even then, it's standard boilerplate c.y.a.*

Until they actually start (and finalize) sales for units in those final towers, they can pretty much advertise what they want and then deliver a final product that's completely different if needs be.

Another 6000 McKay pic e-mailed out:

Wow I really like that. Simple yet interesting.

i am surprised they didn't face the stepped crown towards the north to take advantage of the mountain views, but I guess having a sun drenched patio isn't too bad either...

I was thinking that too - but I'll bet the sun was the deciding factor.

Personally, I think it needs some colour (i.e. dark frames).

Agreed. There is way too much grey/beige in Metrotown already.

Excellent. This group of buildings needed some punch to it...Otherwise it would have been very bland...

Yep.

Interesting that Brentwood will have 4 (maybe more?) towers taller.

That being said, 172 meters is nothing to shake a stick at, and I love the design. A good pinnacle for Metrotown's skyline.

I would love to see a 200m + tower in Metrotown sometime though. Outside of downtown it would be the best location for one.
