Heaven forfend there should be affordable hotel accommodation in downtown Vancouver. Not everyone can afford somewhere douchey like the Trump Hotel.

The door was open when I walked by today - looked like the retail unit was to the left of the door (there was a wall immediately inside on the right).
Don't know if it would extend all the way to the corner, but I doubt it since banks don't usually have multiple doorways.

Imagining the Telus complex pure and without the Kingston, in my imagination, means more glass and spandrel. I love the Kingston, hope it flourishes with its powerful addition of 'funk.'

A white edge has been added to the glass canopy above the office tower entrance.
Not sure when it was added (it's in McMinsen's July pics)
I think it may act as a gutter to prevent water dripping over the entrance.
There isn't an equivalent on the Seymour end of the canopy, nor on the long edge along Georgia (that constantly drips buckets)

PS - stones have been added to the pools around the office lobby entrance.

Well the canopy has those tree decals all over them so I doubt it will require much washing.

Thanks for the update.

The white soffit of the Richards Street awning/overhang appears to have been removed in the photo below (far right). Preparation for a lighting scheme perhaps.

Or maybe suspended signs (on Robson) , since there are gaps centred over both the Jinya and Tractor doorways?

On the Richards side - the absence of overhead lighting seemed to be an oversight - it's really dark along there at night.
plus maybe a sign for CIBC.

I'm sure the entire edge on all 3 sections will light up when the testing is finished and they're ready to go. I seem to remember the same thing going on when they first started testing the edge lighting on the protruding boxes on the office tower. Some off, some on, bright, dim. They'll find a balance with the brightness so it's satisfactorily visible and prominent but not blinding to the neighbours. At least I hope so.

The grills above the windows (below the awning) can probably hide an exhaust.
Tractor can probably exhaust to the alley side.
